Food, fun and festivals are what makes summers in Michigan special and Allegan County has something new and exciting to do every weekend. From June’s Saugatuck Waterfront Film Festival and Fourth of July activities in every town, to Allegan’s Michigan Fiber Festival in August and the Allegan County Fair in September, there is something for everyone.

Of course, you can make your own fun all summer long at dozens of golf courses, hiking trails, lakes, rivers and beaches. Enjoy quiet fishing and swimming on Lake Allegan or at the Allegan State Game area or explore the towering woodlands of the Saugatuck Dunes State Park.

From getting in on the action to getting away from it all, Allegan County can make your summer vacation dreams come true. Need a few suggestions to get you going. Here’s a list of Allegan County Events from May until the end of 2013.
